Download iTunes Past Purchases

Being an Apple product user, you should know that you can re-download the songs, albums, movies, TV shows, apps, books, or audiobooks that you purchased from the iTunes Store, App Store, or iBooks Store. However, the methods would be a little different among different devices.

Notice: You can only re-download a past-purchased movie or TV show that you bought from the iTunes Store. Rented movies or TV shows are not available for re-download.

 

How to Download iTunes Past Purchases

On an iPhone or iPod touch

Step 1. Open the iTunes Store app.
Step 2. At the bottom of the screen, tap More > Purchased > Music.
Step 3. Tap “Not on This [device].”
Step 4. Find the song, album, or music video that you want to download, then tap it.
Step 5. Tap download icon to the right of the title. The song, album, or music video downloads to your device.

On an iPad

Step 1. Open the iTunes Store app.
Step 2. Tap Purchased > Music.
Step 3. Tap “Not on This iPad.”
Step 4. Find the song, album, or music video that you want to download, then tap it.
Step 5. Tap download icon to the right of the title. The song, album, or music video downloads to your device.

 

On a Mac or PC

Step 1. Open iTunes, and sign in with your Apple ID.
Step 2. From the menu bar at the top of your computer screen or at the top of the iTunes window, choose Account > Purchased.

Step 3. Click “Not in My Library” to view purchased content that isn’t on your computer.

Step 4. Find the song, album, or music video that you want to download, then click download icon in the upper-right corner. The song, album, or music video downloads to your library.
