Still Haven’t Seen ‘La La Land’? Here’s When You Can at Home

La La Land

La La Land is heading to home release, with an April 11 release date for Digital HD and April 25 for Blu-ray, DVD and the combination pack, according to distributor Lionsgate.

Writer/director Damien Chazelle’s musical love story starring Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling won six Oscars, including best actress for Stone and best director for Chazelle, after a record-tying 14 nominations. La La Land dramatically lost to Moonlight as best picture after initially being announced as the winner in an unprecedented and wild Oscar ending.

Is ‘La La Land’s ending happy or sad? We’re still debating

Chazelle’s $30 million film has made $417 million worldwide during its theatrical run.

The 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and Digital HD home editions will feature audio commentary by Chazelle and composer Justin Hurwitz, and 10 behind-the-scenes featurettes — including a behind-the-scenes look at how Chazelle pulled off his audacious opening number on a Los Angeles freeway.

Another feature, “Ryan Gosling: Piano Student,” shows how hard the Oscar-nominated Gosling worked to truly play the piano as his jazz-loving character Sebastian.

An additional feature, sampled above, features Gosling and Stone talking about working together for the third time in La La Land.
